Our volunteers play a vital role in providing advice, assistance and support to young people and vulnerable adults in police custody in Kent.
The law requires that young people up to the age of 16 and vulnerable adults should have an appropriate adult with them when they are interviewed by the police. Normally, this is the parent, guardian or carer. However, when they can't be there, Kent Police call for one of volunteers.
Last year our volunteers attended custody suites across Kent on more than 1700 occasions.
We now need more volunteers to join our team in 2009. Could you be one?
